This is a popular route in Kyrgyzstan. We arrived at one of the yurt camps, left our things and went along a beautiful valley to Lake Köl-Suu.
The track is simple, clear and very beautiful. You can spend the night at the lake or return to the camp.
We complete the hike with a boat ride to a huge cave, to which you need to climb another 100 meters. The climb to the cave can be steep for some, you should go with poles. We paid 2000 soms per person, for a ride. They brought us, waited and took us back. It's worth it.
Inside the cave is amazing! The walls are covered in ice crystals, in the crevices there is perennial snow. We did not go down to the very bottom, but spent enough time inside to freeze.
The boat driver said that this cave is called Bear Cave because bears live there in winter. There were many traces of animals and birds inside. I could not find any other information about the cave.
The mountains and places around are amazing. At Köl-Suu you can spend more time exploring the surroundings and enjoying the nature and hospitality of Kyrgyzstan
