Bike type used: MTB
A long(er) bike trail, all asphalt, no terrain. You ride on regular roads, but they are always wide enough and the drivers are very mindful of cyclists, so it's very safe.
From Tatranská Štrba start upwards towards Štrbské Pleso, a busy small mountain resort.
(Note: this is a constant ascent for 9km straight. The incline is not so steep, but those with less stamina may need to take a few breaks along the way. You can also skip Štrbské Pleso entirely and turn left on Intersection #2, to continue towards Štrba directly)
On Štrbské Pleso, you may park your bikes and do a walk around the lake (about 2.5km); you can't do the round with bikes, it's forbidden (and packed with walkers).
From Štrbské Pleso the descent is amazing, then turn right towards a tiny road leading to wide fields, and then to Štrba.
After Štrba, a stretch of the country road will take you to Lučivná, where you turn left through the fields again, until you reach the road.
Passing across a busy intersection (careful here!) you take a left to road 18 and then continue on a slight ascent for 6km straight, towards the starting point.
