Mt. Rokko is undoubtedly the most famous mountain in West Japan. A popular 51 km-long trail connects all the ridges of the Rokko mountains.
Rokko mountains stand right behind Kobe city like a big wall separating the city from most of Hyogo prefecture. We started walking from the west edge of the trail, Sumaura Park station, to the east edge, Takarazuka station.
