Earlier this morning I went from Woodbridge to Sutton Hoo following the main Road. It was safe but rather unpleasant because of the heavy traffic. So I decided to go back to Woodbridge following the Deben riverside path, first upwards, then downwards. It’s classic English edgeland landscape.
You should start by Sutton Hoo viewwing tower (I started recording slightly later) and go against the flow of the river. This first part of the walk is beautiful and you can stop for birdwatching and enjoy the view of Woodbridge from the other side of the river.
Then you reach the A1152 but you only need to walk its sidewalk for a few meters, while you cross the bridge over the river. Soon after that, you can follow the riverside footpath down to Woodbridge.
