This is the route if you want to reach Refuge A quickly, and it would be possible to summit if you have 10 hours and are ready to ascend about 6000' and return same day. We went just past Refuge A and ran into snow on trail. If you go out of season the drinking water on trail may be dried up (like it was for us) so plan accordingly. Starting point is at a refuge/cafe/restaurant that might be open, but there is plenty of parking. It's a great hike with varied terrain, and flauna.flaunt.
