行程描述
This is the trail up from the Refugio Piedra Grande to the Glacier. Our plan was to make summit, but our crampons wouldn't stay on the boots and it was getting dangerously late. We left the Hut at 1:30 am and made it up the glacier by the break of dawn. One of our fellow climbers got severe altitude sickness in the hut and went back down. If you are unsure about the conditions of the ice and don't have excellent cramp-ons, the South face might be the safer choice if making summit is a priority. Nothing too technical, challenge is the altitude really and exhaustion.
