NB Distance and times are correct, m+ is 1300, pb with the elevation graph
Great hike if you're ok with infrastructure in the view :) Climb up to Hengill straightforward and descent down the North face hard work as usual. Lovely path crossing the plateau towards Reykjadular via some streams. Loop around the North of Reykjadalur and descent into the valley which is very nice, following the river before the ascent back out. From there the Westwards route back across plateau was long due to North-Westerly wind. The last strtch through Hengill crater is great with a final steep drop to finish the loop. Nice hike.
