Gengið á Drangshlíðarfjall fimmtudaginn 12. apríl 2012. Lagt af stað frá Drangshlíðardal um kl 19.45. A-átt, 6-8 m/s, þurrt og hiti 3°C á láglendi. Gangan er nokkuð brött en í grónu landi. Uppgangan tók rúma klukkustund. Gott útsýni austur í Mýrdal, yfir austurhluta Eyjafjalla, inn á Fimmvörðuháls og til Vestmannaeyja.

Steep grassy slopes with some rocky sections. A tough climb with amazing views until the low cloud descended. Watch your ankles and knees on the way down, the grass and moss sometimes forms ‘steps’ but these can’t be relied on!
I followed the southern route up and followed the same route back down for familiarity in near zero visibility above 250m.
