Out & back. Lots of photo ops. Worth the farmer’s parking fee to avoid the main crowds at the visitor centre. Only the first bit with the safety barriers is busy, the further you walk south, the fewer people on the trail and plenty of opportunity to use the old rough edge path, if you want to
