This is my third time doing this trail but I decided to spice it up a little bit and leave the Beit Chlela trail for a loop. The second part was definitely challenging, as we climbed through the mountains under the 29° burning sun, with almost 400m elevation gain. We had already done the Nahr El Joz - Beit Chlela trail with 440m elevation gain. At some point, on your way back, you will reach gravel road and the trail is not as beautiful as Beit Chlela. Here, you have two options: either stay on the Beit Chlela trail and do it out and back, or follow the loop on Wikiloc but make sure you’ve got tons of sunscreen and water with you.
On the bright side, the scenery is extremely flabbergasting, like nothing you have ever seen before. We also took a swim in the waterfall, which was definitely freezing cold.
Make sure to have good company whenever you are hiking, and 10km will definitely feel lesser than reality!
