行程描述
After parking at the Blanchicesse, Martian River spring bridge and then walking about halfway to 3-pools, there is a small/less used trail heading up a ridge on the right. It is a good work out, definitely leaving you out of breathe until you’ve warmed up and good sweaty by the time you’ve broken up onto an undulating ridge before veering down the hillside and into the valley, meeting Marianne river and shortly after the confluence river pool below Avocat falls.
After enjoying the falls for a bit, it’s easy walking down the stone river and swimming through a few pools and a mini gorge. There is pretty large pool a few minutes before you arrive at the cliffs behind 3-pools.
Navigating the gorge at the top of 3-pools is the part to be most careful and cautious. With high flows, it can be dangerous.
Finally, the beauty of 3-pools never gets old.
