224) Lemon Tree Circuit - 4th February 2019
Return Distance 7.8km, Max Elevation 181m, Climb 87m, Time 2hr, Level - Medium
Co-ordinates -26.595860, 152.972.650
My Blog:
First ventured into the Parklands in 2017, so this was an opportunity to complete the rest of the walks. Lovely and peaceful, but can't say that I could get very excited about them. Despite what the information board says, there are no longer glimpses of the coast through the trees!
Short Description:
Similar to the Rocky Creek circuit, this track includes dry, rocky ridges. Some sections are more exposed, making the dry open forest a hotter area through which to travel, especially during the warmer summer months.
Getting there:
Access the main entrance at Radar Hill Road, Kulangoor.
From the south, exit the Bruce Highway at the Nambour Connection Road/Parkland Exit. Turn right, and after 200m, turn right back over the Bruce Highway as if you were joining the highway to go south. Just over the bridge, turn right into Radar Hill Road.
From the north exit off the Bruce Highway at the Nambour Connection Road/Parkland exit and turn left into Radar Hill Road before it crosses over the highway.

Route/Trail notes:
From the gate on Radar Hill, take the main track down for 600m and take a right (un-signposted) at the bike assessment area. Follow this undulating track for 1.6km to its junction with the Rocky Creek Circuit (signposted) and turn right again (at 600m, the track to your right, is your return point). There is then a couple of hard uphill pulls along the eastern boundary of the park, before turning right again (signposted) at the junction with Komine Circuit.
You then reach a gate, gravel roadway and mobile tower. Turn right (un-signposted) down the roadway along the edge of the quarry for 750m, before turning right on a 'shared' track back into the forest. Where bike track 5 goes left, take the overgrown right hand track downhill and follow till you meet your original track, taking a left back to the bike assessment area and left again back to the start.
Permits/Costs:
None.
Other References/Comments:
As signposting can be a little vague, it is suggested you print off a copy of the tracks from the website link above. Be aware, that the tracks are 'shared' with horse riders and in some section mountain bike riders.

A good circuit of mixed terain. Sometimes a bit bland but for the most part pleasant enough .
After heavy rain last night parts were very boggy and wet.
